When a public safety agency pursues CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) certification, they're not just checking a box — they're committing to a standard of excellence recognized at the federal level.
Matcom Office of Public Safety is actively pursuing CALEA accreditation across three critical disciplines:
- Communications Accreditation — For our 9-1-1 dispatch operations
- Public Safety Accreditation — For our field operations and personnel
- Campus Safety Accreditation — For our institutional protection services
What This Means for Our Clients
CALEA accreditation requires agencies to meet over 480 standards covering everything from use-of-force policies to evidence handling, training requirements, and community engagement. For our clients, this means:
