The Office of Professional Standards within Matcom's esteemed Public Safety division plays a vital role in upholding the integrity and professionalism of every individual associated with the agency, be it protective services officers, communications personnel, detectives, supervisors, or any other staff member. With a steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of conduct and ethics, we diligently investigate any allegations of misconduct, ensuring that all matters are thoroughly examined with objectivity and rigor.

In addition to addressing complaints from clients, which encompass a broad spectrum of issues such as abuse of authority, excessive force, discriminatory behavior, and violations of civil rights, our office also welcomes and reviews complaints lodged by department members against their peers. By meticulously tracking and documenting all complaints, we ensure that a fair and thorough process is followed, with a focus on addressing grievances effectively and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the agency.
