Comp-Stat, in Protective Services, stands for 'Computer Statistics' dealing specifically with crime. It was developed in the 2017 for the private sector at the Matcom Office Of Protective Services to help reduce crime in the communities and properties we protect. It is modeled after NY City Police Department Comp-stat from the 1990's. It was found to be an effective way to accurately track crime and use the information to deploy PSO's to address it in timely manner.
